About Us
The Foundation for Local Development and Development of Information Technologies (FLORIT) Gevgelija was established in 2001 as an initiative of the local government, the business sector, and the non-governmental sector of the Municipality of Gevgelija, under the name Foundation – Center for Local Development – Gevgelija. Since January 21, 2005, it has carried its current name.
FLORIT – Gevgelija is a recognized organization at the local, national, and international levels and a sought-after partner for cooperation in the field of sustainable local and regional development. It promotes and develops traditional values through a modern approach and contributes to strengthening the capacities of local self-government.
The mission of FLORIT – Gevgelija is to support local development through the initiation, preparation, and implementation of development projects within the municipality of Gevgelija and the region, in synergy and partnership with all social groups and individuals.
Together with local communities, we build sustainable development: entrepreneurship, education, and green initiatives.
The final conference of the IDEAS project was held in a wonderful setting and drew great interest. The project focused on smart agriculture and the production of high-quality, safe food.
